I always leave my designer stuff at home, don't you?
I heard two girls (eight years old at the most) having this conversation in a locker room of a Jewish Community Center type establishment on the Upper West Side.
Girl 1: Your nanny and my nanny are friends.
Girl 2: Yeah, my nanny really likes your nanny, but my mom doesn’t like your mom.
Girl 1: My mom doesn’t like your mom either. That’s why we only play with our nannies.
Girl 2: Yeah because my nanny really likes your nanny.
Girl 1: Yeah, I know. Why does your nanny have a fake Coach purse?
Girl 2: I don’t know. Maybe she leaves her real one at home because she’s afraid she’ll lose it.
Girl 1: Yeah, but I can tell it’s fake.
Girl 2: I know. But not everybody can.
